Hearing Evaluations
We offer comprehensive hearing evaluations that allow us to diagnose your exact degree of hearing loss. Hearing evaluations provide us with the full details of your hearing loss, which helps us discover the best solution for you. Even if you are not yet ready to commit to hearing devices, an evaluation can provide meaningful information about your hearing health so that you can make a more educated decision in the future.
Hearing Aid Recommendations and Sales
We dispense hearing aids from the leading hearing aid manufacturers. When recommending hearing devices, we consider your individual needs and hearing goals so that you can live your fullest life. We will always give you options to choose from to help you determine which hearing aids will be right for you.
Hearing Aid Fitting and Programming
When you have chosen your hearing devices, we will expertly fit them to your unique ear shape. We will also program your hearing aids, so they address your specific hearing loss and needs.
Hearing Aid Repairs and Cleanings
We are available to help you maintain your hearing aids so they can serve you well for years to come. In-office repairs and adjustments can keep your hearing aids performing their best. If you should have more serious device problems, we would be happy to send your hearing aids to the manufacturer for evaluation and repair.
Medicaid Care
We are the only audiology clinic in Ithaca that is approved to accept Medicaid.
Patients with Special Needs
Racker Audiology Clinic is dedicated to helping patients of all abilities. If you know someone with special needs who would benefit from a hearing evaluation to help with their hearing health, we would be happy to assist them.
Hearing Care for Early Childhood/School-Age Children
Racker Audiology Clinic is approved through the County Health Department to offer full audiological hearing evaluations for pediatrics. Additionally, we receive physician and family referrals for evaluations. Most hearing aid fittings will be referred to a pediatric audiologist specialist.
Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, check, cash and CareCredit. We recommend always checking with your insurance company or benefit provider to see if they will cover the costs of hearing tests and hearing aids.
Medicaid covers audiological testing, hearing aids, and other services for children, and will cover them for adults who meet specific guidelines. A referral from your primary care physician or specialist is required before we can schedule an appointment. We are an approved Medicaid provider; please reach out to our clinic with questions and to discuss hearing aid coverage under Medicaid.
